| ACHIEVEMENTS and AWARDS 1. Citation Award � 1st Mountaineering Club of Iloilo to traverse Kidapawan, North Cotabato to Mt. Apo peak to Kapatagan, Digos, Davao � 1979. 2. First Mountaineering Club to have been engaged by the Government as it�s monitoring arm � 1989. 3. One of the First NGO�s to be as a member of the Regional Development Council of the National Economic Development Authority in the entire country � 1990. 4. An organization with a direct cooperation with International Conservation Group � the Greenpeace International. 5. Sponsored the creation and proclamation of Madia-as, Nangtud and Baloy mountain ranges as a National Park, as well as the Sampunong Bolo Bird Sanctuary as a wildlife sanctuary � 1991. 6. Spearheaded the Search and Recovery Operations in Mt. Kanla-on on October 1992. 7. Outstanding NGO Awardee � DENR Environment Month � June 25, 1994. 8. Participated in �The Clean Up the World Project� organized by WVCA & USAMS in Bulabog-Puti-an National Park, Dingle, Iloilo � Sept. 9-10, 1995 9. Conducted CIVAC- Medical Mission in Brgy. Distinguished Humanitarian Award given by the Office of the President of the Philippines in coordination with the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) for the participation in the search & recovery operations conducted in connection with the crash of Cebu Pacific Air Flight 387 on Feb. 2, 1998 at Claveria, Misamis Oriental. Given on March 28, 1998 in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. 13. 3rd Place �Carrera Cordura Adventure Race, Camotes Group of Islands, June 8-12,2000. |
