| 2pac- Better Dayz: Well peeps, it is time for a review of disc 2 of this album. The first disc scored quite high so lets see what the second disc has to offer: 1. My Block remix- Nitty did the remix on this one and I must say that this is better than the original that appeared on The Show soundtrack. Banging beat and introspective lyrics make this a stellar track. 2. Thugz Mansion- This version is done by 7 Aurelius and it just features 2pac by himself. I like this beat better than the acoustic version and it fits the lyrics better than the first. 3. Never Call U B**** Again (featuring Tyrese)- Johnny J produced this classic and Tyrese is on the hook. 2pac talks about how he respects his woman and how much she means to him. Very deep track. 4. Better Dayz- Johnny J is 2 for 2 as this track is very somber but one that you can chill to. Ron Isley is on the hook and this is another classic song for this disc. 5. U Can Call- Jazze Pha did the remix on this and I must say that he did a great job. Very introspective lyrics and a cool beat to boot. 6. Military Minds (featuring CoCo Brothers & Buckshot)- This song was remixed by Edi and it really showcases 2pac the lyricist. He comes off raw as fuck on this song and the Boot Camp drop nice verses as well. I like the beat by Edi better than the original. One of my favorites on either disc. 7. Fame (featuring Outlawz)- Hurt Em Bad did this simple, yet banging beat and Pac with the Lawz tear into the track like pits. Bomb ass song. 8. Fair Xchange remix- QD3 on the remix, and Mya on the hook. This song is not as good as the Jazze Pha mix, but it is a good track to party with. 9. Catchin Feelings- Edi did the tight remix to this song, and the Outlawz are added to what originally was a very short track. 2pac comes with the venemous rhymes about Biggie and the rest of the Lawz spit the heat. 10. There U Go (featuring Outlawz)- Jazze Pha on the hook and the beat, and Pac with the Lawz talk about the chickenhead groupies in their life. The beat is so cold on this one!!! 11. This Life I Lead (featuring Outlawz)- The original was done by Daz and it had Nuttso, Tha Dogg Pound and Gonzoe. This song is done by Johnny J and the Outlawz replace the other rappers. The beat is average for J standards, but the verses are all top notch and save the track to make it quite good. 12. Who Do You Believe In (featuring Kadafi)- One of the best 2pac songs EVER!!! Johnny J crafted the bomb beat. Just listen to it and you will know what I am talking about. It is like nothing he has ever put out. 13. They Don't Give A F*** About Us (featuring Outlawz)- Just as I say that, this song follows it up and it is another classic song. Johnny J on the beat and Pac with the Lawz DESTROY this track! Tight beat and lyrics make this a repeat song for a long time. This disc was much better than the first disc. Johnny J had more of a creative control on this album and it shows with the quality of the tracks. Other producers like Jazze Pha, Briss and 7 impressed me with the beats they contributed. It is hard to deny that 2pac after 6 years being gone, is still running thangs on the West coast. 10 OUT OF 10 9.75 OUT OF 10 OVERALL |
