2pac- Better Dayz: Anyone that has a pulse has to know the history by now of 2pac. One of the greatest to touch a mic, he has more albums now that he is dead than when he was alive. 2pac was also the first artist to suffer severly from bootlegging. His finished tracks were some of his rawest material EVER (beats included), but to many disapproval, his music has been remixed. I personally do not mind it that much and I will review this album on these tracks and give you a little background on the original. Pac is my favorite artist of all time so forgive me if I ramble a bit during the review.

Disc 1

1.
Intro

2.
Still Ballin - (nitty remix, featuring Trick Daddy): Produced by Nitty, this is the offical second single off of the album. The original was produced by Johnny J and it had Kurupt on it. They replaced him with Trick Daddy and the song is still cool. The beat is sick and both mc's come nice. A club banger for shizzle!

3.  When We Ride On Our Enemies - (Briss remix): One of the most controversial songs Pac has ever done, the beat on this is very dark and booming. It captures Pac's raw energy as he clowns Biggie, the Fugees and Mobb Deep. I personally liked the original better with the guitars and the nice sample. This beat is cool though.

4.
Changed Man - (Jazze Pha remix, featuring Jazze Pha/T.I./Johnta' Austin): Jazze Pha drops a sick beat with the guitars and the quick hitting bass loop. 2pac's verse is nice, but I was not feeling TI on this song.

5.
F*** Em All - (featuring The Outlawz): Ah, the first song on the album that is untouched. Johnny J drops a almost rock like beat with the metal guitars and Pac with the Outlawz drop a hood special on this track. One of my favorite Pac songs EVER!!!

6.  Never B Peace - (Nitty remix, featuring E.D.I./Kastro): The orignal had Marvelous and Storm on it and the beat was done by DJ Quik. It was more of a jazzy beat, which went with the lyrics. This beat is very good with the guitars and piano keys. Edi and Kastro drop nice rhymes and this song is a must to play in the system.

7.
Mama's Just A Little Girl - (featuring Kimmy Hill): KP crafted this remarkable beat over some of the deepest lyrics Pac has spit since "Dear Mama". The song is perfect and it just talks about the struggles that a woman is going through in her life.

8.
Street Fame - (Briss remix): Daz Dillinger did the original beat and it is a little bit better than this one, but it is Pac's raw lyrics that make this song bang. When he is angry his lyrics and tone take a separate identity. Funny Lil Kim diss on here as well.

9.
Whatcha Gonna Do - (featuring Kastro/Young Noble): Storm was on the original and I wish they would have left her verse because it was pretty raw. Edi did the beat and he changed it up a bit, but I really am not feeling this beat. The verses from all MC's are on point, but they at least deserve a better beat from Edi.

10.
Fair Xchange - (Jazze Pha remix, featuring Jazze Pha): I love this song. Pac comes with the sex rhymes and Jazze Pha produces a gem of a beat. Much better than the original due to the bomb ass beat.

11.
Late Night (from "Chronic 2000 Still Smokin"): Produced by DJ Quik, this song features Fatal and Kadafi. Great song and verses make this a repeat listen many times over.

12.
Ghetto Star - (featuring Nuttso): This song has caused alot of controversy. For the longest time, I thought the original had Bad Azz on it and it was done by Ant Banks. But Nuttso said in a recent interview that it was not the original and Bad Azz stole the song and remixed it. Nevertheless, both songs are good, but for some reason I like this song a little bit more. Go Twice and Edi are on the beat and Nuttso is one of the most underrated rappers on the West Coast. A cold ass song!!!

13.  Thugz Mansion - (featuring Nas/J Phoenix, Nas acoustic): The first single which caught people by surprise because Nas is on it. A incredible song even though they were not cool with each other until a few days before he died. They never recorded together, but the way this song was put together with the acoustic guitar it is a nice song to end the album with.

I really cannot hate on this album for all the remixes because they were done very good for the most part. Jazze Pha really impressed me with his beats and chorus. Definitely a tight start to this album.
