Baby- Birdman: Cash Money was at a crossroads in 2002. Losing 3/4 of the Hot Boys really did not help and the newest member Mack 10 did not make the impact that people thought he would (although he did drop a tight compilation on Hoo Bangin). So Baby of the Big Tymers took it upon himself to help re-establish the label to past heights. Baby did a good job on this album even though he's not really a rapper but it's worth listening to. He got the clipse on whatever happened to that boy and ice cold w/jazze pha and tq and do that w/p.diddy he got some hits on there and that ghetto life w/weezy and camron. The beats are done by Mannie Fresh and Jazze Pha so they are definitely on point. But the constant bird calls and repetitive rhymes will make this album grow old on you quick.

8 Mile- Soundtrack: I must say that Eminem found the right MC's to make a soundtrack CD. If you've watched the movie, you have to say that music is the right one for it. Rappers such as Gang Starr, Obie Trice, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Nas, Xzibit,... have shown their best to compile together one of the best soundtracks in 2002. The album starts off with the song "Lose Yourself", I believe you've all seen the video and you have to say it is tight. Albums consists of 16 songs, most of them with tight lyrics and beats, especially "Battle" by Gang Starr. I Don't like song by Macy Gray, it just doesnt fit in this soundtrack. Maybe some of you like it, but I just don't. Eminem's flow in "8 Mile Road" is extremely above all and I like those instruments in background, they just fit with that lyric. If you like song "Lose yourself", eventhough you've probably heard it more than 100 times, i can doubt that you wouldn't like the whole soundtrack. If you are true Shady, like white rappers flows and want to expand your knowledge about hip hop and it's variant beats, buy this album ASAP, It's just "8 Mile" away.

Outlawz- Neva Surrenda: After the tragic death of 2pac, the Outlawz were a talented group without their leader. After the death of group member Kadafi, Fatal left the group and Storm and Big Syke went on to do other things. 2 albums were recorded between 1997-99. One is called "Retribution" which was recorded on Tha Row and the other was called Neva Surrenda on Rap-A-Lot. This album finally gets to see the light of day. as J Prince and Outlawz Recordz drop this classic LP. A true debut album, this cd features NO 2PAC APPEARANCES!!! This album is another banger by the Outlawz. Still Reppin for Cali and Jerzey, they carry on 2Pac's legacy of intelligent, sentimental and thuggish tracks. With party anthems like "Play" . Thug Bangaz like 'Not Real' and "Stick 2 Da Plan" and Intelligent tracks like 'Lost And Turned Out' and 'Blessings'.

You cant go wrong with this joint. Check out "Desperation" as it might be one of the best tracks on the album. Production was handled by Mike Dean and Mr. Lee and they really outdid themselves with the beats. Easily one of the best produced albums of the year and in the history of Rap-A-Lot which speaks volumes.  Big Syke, Willie D  and Yukmouth show up on the album as well. This is a must buy for any Pac/West Coast Fan. Buy it and help get the Outlawz the respect they deserve.
R.I.P. Tupac Shakur and Yaki Kadafi
