COMPARISONS
When I Was Young: I imagined myself with a tattoo, earrings, and a pack of cigarettes.
Nowadays: I don't have a tattoo yet.
When I Was Young: I had fun by venturing into sewer systems, climbing the roofs of schools, and sneaking out late at night to hang out with friends.
Nowadays: I haven't been in a sewer in a long time, I've climbed schools for nostaligic purposes, and I can't friggin' fall asleep until after 5am.  My new hangouts are pool halls and lounges.
When I Was Young: The most important thing in life was to analyze everything to death with deep conversations with good friends and a healthy scepticism toward everything.  It was a great feeling to have my own philosophies on life, and Lord, and other important subjects.
Nowadays: I'm glad I've had those deep moments, but now I take a much lighter approach to life.  I try to see things in the big picture and don't let little things bother me because they are ultimately insignificant in the grand scheme of things.  I think this thought makes me a very patient person.  I still have my own philosophies and thoughts on various matters, but some have changed or been modified.  And it's been a long time since I've sat down and wrote or talked about them, so my thoughts on various issues, although they're existent, are not totally clear like they used to be.  I guess the motto I've made for myself, which drives most of my actions in life is to "take things one step at a time, but don't forget to keep your head up."
When I Was Young: I mainly listened to Alternative music, although I liked almost everything.
Nowadays: I mainly listen to Reggae, Jungle, and Hip Hop, although I like almost everything.
When I Was Young: I had asthma, and I was allergic to Aspirin, Bubble Gum, Milk, Eggs, Grass, Dust, non-cotton fibers, and all Seafood.
Nowadays: I have overcome my asthma and most of my allergies.  I am still allergic to Aspirin, and Non-Shellfish.
When I Was Young: I wanted to be a Fireman (because I had a strange tolerance and attraction to fire, which earned me the nickname 'Pyro'); a mountain climber (thinking it was a profession, and because I was a great climber of inanimate objects); an archaeologist (because as much as things like ancient tombs and rituals scared me, I found them extremely intriguing.  Also because it just seemed fun to travel to distant lands); an architect (because I always wanted to design my own home.  Unfortunately, my lack of prowess in math got in the way of this dream); an astronaut (because I worried that without taking this path, I may never get to see the Universe, which would be an awful shame).
Nowadays: I want to own a number of businesses, one being a pool hall and lounge.

WORDS I LIVE BY

"At times it is better to keep your mouth shut and let people wonder if you're a fool
than to open it and remove all doubt."
-James G. Sinclair

"The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it."
