I am on the internet quite a bit, and I look for various things. Here are some of the sites I visit regularly:

Google
This is a great search engine. It fits my style of thinking, so it serves me well.

Backpacker
I like this site for two reasons: they have some good hiking tips, and they offer an e-mail service. It is a nice service, with an address book. Plus, not every name is already taken, so you have a good chance of getting your first or second choice.

The Straight Dope
I love this site! Have you ever had one of those weird questions, like, "Is my household smoke detector emitting radioactive rays?" Well, chances are, Cecil Adams or his assitants have already answered it, usually with great wit. I like being on their mailing list, so I remember to check their site.

The Spark
Have nothing to do? Then why not take one of the Spark's many quizzes? You can find out how lazy you are, or your IQ. I am apparently 68% bitch, which surprised me. Ha ha.

The Republic of Pemberley
"Your haven in a world programmed to missunderstand obsession with things Austen" I like this site because they analyze some really small details that sometimes I get curious about (and many I don't!) such as, "In the scene, ... in which Lydia... is humming a tune that I know as "My Grandfather's Clock". Did that tune have other names in that time or is that the name under which Lydia would have known it?"

Frugal Living Forum
This is a good forum for people that want to save money. There are many kind and knowledgeable people there.

SciFlicks SQUAD! Forums
This is a forum that discusses every sci-fi flick I've ever heard of. It has a more internet-esque feel to it, members might say something like "ur a idiot :P" meaning, of course, "You are an idiot". There are threads devoted to expressing the physical merits of a particular actress, but some do analyze the various movies, which I like.
