This section of EDUU552 gave me a new
perspective on the
current state of the American educational system. Testing has become a
powerful
force not only driving students but also driving schools and teachers.
This is one of several reasons that I am pleased to teach at an IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization)
school.
Testing is a part of the skills based curriculum yet the
criteria being
assessed are dynamic and truly allow each student to succeed in a world
of
multiple intelligences.
Below are links to the work I have completed in EDUU552. While STAR
testing is
unique to California,
I have also been allowed to work through my experience in the IBO MYP
(Middle
Years Program) and the grade book screenshot as well as the rubrics
provided
show the multiple assessment criteria I use.
