Music |
I am a great fan of music. Music is my first love and singing is my hobby. I am a humble listener of all kinds of songs , the favourites being eastern and western classical, songs of Rabindranath Tagore (Rabindrasangeet), folks and light Bengali songs. I am a student also, Rabindrasangeet being the prime interest.

Literature |
I am a voracious reader. Be it an erudite topic or light-hearted, I never miss a chance to go through. As far as short stories are concerned, among the Bengali authors, Parashuram is my favourite and as for poems, I would go for Sukumar Roy. May be, I have got a taste for humor. And I simply love the literature for children. I am a shy writer, too. I remember, the happiest moment came to my life when I had my first rhymes published at the age of 8. Here are some examples.

Traveling |
I would have been the most happy and satisfied person if I could travel, travel and travel only . This , I think, is enough for you to get the message how I relish traveling. Is there an examination? I simply do not care sometime and set out. Once I set my mind up, it often takes less than half an hour to pack up and start. To ward off the monotony of the campus, I usually get onto a train or a bus and stick my eyes out of the window. No matter how long the journey be, I am never bored to continue looking at the scenery in motion - better than a movie, I would say.

Food |
Yes, and why not? This is supposed to be one of the most fundamental need to survive. But to me it is more than need , it is passion. As I am living away from West Bengal, everyday I am rediscovering how fond am I of Bengali cuisine. From the bitter dishes as starters to the sweet ending, they are simply peerless. I never miss the recipe pages of any magazine.
