The Texas is fitted with four state-of-the-art pulse phaser cannons that deliver a broken phaser discharge that i8s harder to disperse than a continuous phaser beam. The ship's two torpedo launchers are of a standard design and can handle both photon and quantum torpedoes. With its offensive emphasis the Texas's weapons systems are designed so that the time between the order being given to fire weapons and the launch is near instantaneous.
