| "Are you sure your'e gonna be okay Terri?" asked a young girl fixing her earring. "Yes Chelsie I'll be fine. Go to the party and have fun." said another young girl who was in bed and obviously sick. "Its so unfair for you to get sick the week of the winter dance plus...." Chelsi was interrupted by car honk."Call me if you need me Terri." Heres Joe's cell phone number." "Its ok Chelsi, leave!" croaked Terri. She gazed at her twin sister walking down the hall.Sometimes Terri felt that Chelsi was far too over protective. She saw a tan shaggy dag walk into the room and continue towards her. "Come here Jojo, thats a good boy." she said while petting her dog. Jojo retreated to the warmth under her bed. Terri reached over and turned off the light then went to sleep. "Ring, Ring, Ring!" sang the telephone breaking her slumber. "Who is it ?"she groggily said "Hey Terri um can you apoligize to Chelsi for me for not being there?"answered a masculine voice "Joe? Why don't you apoligize to her right now. She is with you right?" "No, what are you talking about? I got stopped because your town is closed off. Some guys escaped from the St.Margrets asulym and the police are trying to find them.They aren't letting anybody past." "Thats impossible! I heard a car about ,she glanced over to her clock, three hours ago and Chelsi left with it I think." Suddenly Terri heard a crash from down stairs. She placed her hand under the bed and Jojo made a scared noise then licked it. "Joe I just heard a .. "CRASH!" "Thump,drag,thump"(extra note:these were sounds not words) "Terri you still there!" "Joe call 911 I think theres somebody here!" "Ok I'm calling them, don't go anywhere!" "Ok Joe." by mistake Terrie placed the phone on the hook. Dammit she thought. She once again put her hands under the bed for a few comforting licks from her faithful pet.Suddenly the moans started up again. They seemed to get closer and closer till she felt they were at her very door. She hears someone scratching the door all the while moaning in such a horriable way. When she felt that she wouldn't be able to take anymore she heard some one shouting "Open the door!" and then the crash of the door being pushed in. A policeman opened her door to reveal a small body by the side of it that was moaning. "Chelsie!" she screamed and she began to cry. The whole time her sister had been hurt and she wouldn't let her in. As Chelsie was hurried toward the ambulance Terri proceded to go the the bathroom. A policeman cut her off saying "Ma'm I don't think you wanna go in there." Terri pushed past him to see her dog brutally mutilated ,lying in a puddle of blood. "That can't be!" she thought and ran towards her room." she peered under the bed. A grinning face met her and said "Humans can lick too my dear." then the man grabbed her arm and pulled her under her bed. Terri was found a while later lying in a puddle of blood with eyes blind to the world. |
