160. Reverend William Edmund WALLER
was born in 1746 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. He Resided in 1784 in
Garrard County, Kentucky. He Resided in 1803 in Virginia. He died on 17 Jul
1830 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Baptist Preacher that emigrated from
Virginia to Kentucky. In Frankfort is where William S. was placed as an apprentice
in the office of said William Trigg. William Trigg was the husband of Susanna,
first cousin of William S.. William S. was 13 at the time.
After a short stay the Preacher William Edmund Waller and his wife and family
left for Shelby County, Leaving William S. behind. (see pg 13 of THE WALLER'S)
William was a distinguished colonial Baptist minister. He preached most of 50
years at Waller's Church in Spotsylvania.
He was married to Mildred SMITH in
1766. In the book "Folks of Elkhorn Church" by Darnell, published
by Genealogical Publishing Co., Baltimore, 1980. There is a reference that Mildred's
father was Stephen Smith.
However, the same book later mentions that a George Smith and Ann Bailey had
a child, Mildred Waller. Mildred SMITH
(15) was born in 1746. She died in 1803. Reverend William Edmund
WALLER and Mildred SMITH had the following children:
