Karen Thurman-Palmer
Karen Palmer received a Bachelor degree in Music Education from Pacific Union College and a Master of Music degree from University of Redlands.   Currently, she is a tenured first violinist with the Redlands Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Pacific West String Quintet.  She has performed with Opera Pacific, San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra, Riverside County Philharmonic, Neumark Ensemble and has experienced performances with conductors John Demain, Dennis DeCoteau, John Williams, Leonard Bernstein, David Romadonoff, Harold Farberman and Stephen Tucker.  For 3 years, Mrs. Palmer Conducted and Directed the University of Redlands Civic Orchestra and School of Music Summer Music Camp Orchestra.  Since 1993, she has the Conducted and Directed of the Community School of Music and Arts? Youth Ensemble of Strings, and founded the Virtuosi In Progress and Youth Symphony Orchestras. She is the Director and Orchestra Conductor of the annual CSMA Summer Workshop.  Mrs. Palmer regularly appears in solo and chamber music recitals and gives private violin lessons.
