| The Youth Symphony of the U of Redlands Community Music School is a full symphony orchestra for advanced level players. Rehearsals are Tuesdays 7:30-9 PM, Watchorn Hall Rm 113 on the U of Redlands campus (Redlands, CA). Membership is by audition. 2005 performances Winter concert, Sunday January 30 Final concert, Sunday, May 22 Memorial Chapel. Included performances by winners of the concerto competition. Audition requirements: Strings: 3-octave scales and arpeggios, all minor/major keys Major concerto or sonata, one movement Sightreading Winds and Brass: Scales, all major/minor keys Major concerto or sonata, one movement Sightreading Percussion: All rudiments Ability to play timpani OR all percussion and mallet instruments |
