Continuing the
Legacy on its 38th year
We are the U.P. Industrial
Engineering Club, a duly recognized organization based in the U.P.
College of Engineering. Since its founding in 1967, the organization
has grown to be the largest organization in the College of Engineering
with over 150 members. Through the years, the U.P. IE Club has lived up
to its standards of excellence by engaging itself in various activities
catering to the academic, extra-curricular, socio-civic needs and
interests of the members and the community. Last April of 2003, the
National Youth Commission acknowledged U.P. IE Club as one of the Ten
Outstanding Youth Organizations (TAYO) for its College Jump Starter
Seminar (CJSS).
For its 38th year, IE Clubs main
objective is to reach out and make a difference in the lives of members
of the U.P. community as well as in the building of our nation. In
keeping with this goal, U.P. IE Club has prepared a line-up of projects
for the academic schoolyear of 2005 to 2006 titled, A Series of
Fortunate Events. A Series of Fortunate Events includes the fourth
College Jump-Starter Seminar (CJSS), Freshman Orientation Program
Committee (FOPC) Freshman Pakain, U.P. IE Club Freshman Welcome Party,
Habitat for Humanity, Grand Outreach Program, and other socially
relevant events.
We are a proud member of the PIIE
(Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers), ORSP (Operations
Research Society of the Philippines, AIMES (Association of Industrial
and Management Engineering Students) and NYC (National Youth
Commission).
