TOPIC: WHY DOES GOD LET US SUFFER?
God gave Israel a choice, for example in Deut. 30:19 He said
specifically, "...I have set before you life and death...therefore
CHOOSE LIFE..." To this very day, as is evident in our various
societies around the world, we have rejected God and the Goodness He
offers. So, instead of doing the human thing and blaming someone else
for our problems (we blame God) we should take responsibility for our own
actions and repent!
The choice God gave Israel is just as relevant today and applicable to all
peoples as it was in the Garden of Eden and nothing is going to change until
we do. Change starts in the home. If our politicians knew how to
rule their own households, they could better rule society, thus preventing
wars and environmental abuses from happening; thus preventing death.
But our politicians do not know how to rule their own households as is evident
in the delinquency of their children and the adultery in their
marriages. Yet our politicians reject the offer of Life that God gives,
just like the rest of us do. Our educators scoff at any mention of
Christianity, and on the other hand, people who profess a belief in Christ
reject Him by disobeying His Commandments and doing every manner of evil from
murder to molestation, causing non believers to further reject Christ and
maintain their rejection of Life.
God is not around because we ourselves have told Him to get lost!!! He is
currently using a “let them bump their own heads” or “tough
love” philosophy; He will only intervene when Christ returns to take
over this world ( Revelation 11:15 ).
Only then will He establish His way of Life in the hearts of men ( Isaiah 11:1-10 , note
verse 9. see also Jeremiah 31:31-34 ).
By the time that happens, mankind will have fully reaped the consequences of
his choice as, Christ indicated in Matthew 24:22 and Mark 13:20, by literally
bringing civilization to the ultimate consequence of our choice---extinction.
