Tastefully Simple Fundraiser Social
Charlotte from Tastefully Simple helped me host a benefit for MPower. The event was attended by my mother, Jan Ritterbush, Empress XX, Feleena, Princess XXV, Marsha, MPower Coordinator, Jeremy and his partner Toby.
A lot of fabulous food was sampled and monies were raised. Thanks to all who attended and ordered outside the event.
FLESH
Once again, local talents gathered to help raise monies for MPower by taking it off for the men and women of DC's Saloon. A big thank you goes out to Ricky, Gordon, Murph, Jim, Jon and that sexy man, Loren. Everyone had a great time.
Night of 1,000 Stars
ICON once again hosted a fabulous dinner for people attending the annual Night of 1,000 Stars event hosted by NAP. The food was some of the best ever in 15 years according to several of the attendees including Stosh at The MAX. A big thank you goes out to The MAX for allowing us to hold the dinner at their bar.
Entertainment was provided by Emperor XXV, Dan, Empress XXV, Lana, Princess Royale XXV, Jennifer and Czarina XXV, Mystic. Thanks to DJ Rob, the show went off without any problems in both the sit-down and buffet. Thanks to all who made the evening a success.
Toyz 4 Totz
ICON's annual event to raise money to buy toys for children affected by HIV/AIDS was once again a success hosted by Empress XII & XVI, Phoenix Fallentine and Empress XI of all Iowa, Erica LaRue. The evening brought in approximately $5,100.00. The following Wednesday, members of the Board of Governors and the Royale Family gathered to purchase the toys. The shopping venture was spear headed by Pincess Royale XXI, Annette Moeller.
Thanks to everyone who contributed and helped purchase the toys.
Leather & Lace Ball - Des Moines, IA
Lana, Jennifer, Feleena and Thomas took to the road to perform in Empress Iris-Aspire and Emperor James McLaughlin's Leather & Lace Ball in Des Moines. The night was flawless. In attendance was Ruby, Lucy, CeCe, Aromis, Muffy and many other fabulous kings and queens from the DSM area.
Rendevous - An Imperial Outting
The group picked up and headed west to the Q in Lincoln to show them what Omaha was made of. Mr. Q Derrick emcee'd the show and performers included Emperor Dan, Princess Royale Jennifer Jett, Grand Czarina Lady D'Vore, Duke Jon Holloway, Duchess Destiney, Czar David Jensen, Baroness Susan Davis, Lady to the Court Fanta Cee and friend Trina Tabloid. Monies from the event went to NAP-Lincoln.
E & E Ball - Fire & Ice
Dan and myself welcomed past monarchs of the Imperial Court of Nebraska as well as monarchs from Minneapolis and Iowa. Attendees included from Iowa Empress Iris Aspire, Emperor James McLaughlin, Randolph KMA, Erica LaRue, Rachel Starr, Greg Brockman and Michael Ferry. Helen Back and Mark Weston from Minneapolis as well as many of ICON's past monarchs.
Black Heart's Ball
Emperor 21, Matt Finken's annual Valentines Day event to raise money for Proud Horizons youth group was a blast this year. Matt started the show as his alter ego Macy Riley and then returned later as Matt. I did the opposite. I began the evening as Chuck and returned to the stage at the end of the show as Lana Caine thanks to a little help from Jennifer Jett.
Crystal DeLight's Valentine's Dat Dinner
Empress 24, Crystal DeLight held her annual Valentine's Day dinner at The MAX. Entertainment was provided by Michael and Crystal, Dan and myself, Mr MAX Scott and Miss MAX Robbie Jean.
Through the Reign
With this being the 25th year for ICON, I came up with the idea to do a show to highlight the talents of ICON's past Monarchs. Invitations were sent out and the response was good. EmCees for the evening were Empress Ericka LaRue, Emperor Royal Bush and Czarina Mystic DeLight. Guest entertainers included Jennifer Jett, Lady D'Vore, Trina Tabloid, Macy Riley, Mystic DeLight and Ericka LaRue. Monarch performers included Montana, Annie Welty, Royal Bush, Jeff McKenzie, Steve Koeller, Phoenix Fallentino, Sharon Van Butsel, Michael Lyons, Feleena Katz, Paco, And More, Monroe, Crystal DeLight, Dan and myself. The show was a huge success and raised monies for MPower.
SnoBall 2006 - A 70's Disco Revolution
Emperor 17 Jeff and Princess Royale 19 Stella hosted ICON's annual SnoBall event at the MAX. Guest EmCees were PityPat Magnolia Sugarbaker from Houston, Thomas, Holly Day and Jennifer Jett. The evening was filled with disco hits and big hair! King and Queen of Snoball were determined by the number of raffle tickets sold by Royal Family members. This year's titles went to Junior and Mystic DeLight.
