The Infamous Cyclone of Sound
Welcome to the homepage of the Infamous C Phi S, better known as the Cyclone of Sound. C Phi S, is a Division of the elite Tsunami of Sound. We are the Saxophone section at Laura F. Osborn Senior High School (Tsunami of Sound- Marching Band) in Detroit, MI. We strive to be the best musicians and marchers in the entire band. We do everything with precision, from marching to ripples, we do it in perfection.
The section was founded in the year 2000, during the marching season.  Origionally called names such as; Earth, Wind and Fire, T.O.P, S.S.S and the Sixth Sense, we felt as if none of the names truely fit us, because they came from other schools.

While thinking of names in sectional one day, I remember some one saying "Them saxes be blowin". So I thought about it, and i came up with many things that blew things around or was loud and i came up with tornados.

I thought tornados were too tame so, I said Cyclone. This proved to be a brillant idea. I pitched the name to the section and in the Fall of 2000 Cyclone of Sound was born.
