October's Star...
Ill always remember that precious day,
You entered our lives in the most usual way.
Hours of pain, then that beautiful face,
Tears of agony were quickly replaced.
The moment we were waiting for had come,
The most important thing we had ever done.

There was total euphoria that you were finally here,
And suddenly the meaning in my life became clear.
I was here to look after you,
Help you through life in whatever you do.
I vowed then and there that you would always be loved,
Our October Star, sent from above.

Years went by and we watched you grow,
Making your own rules up as you go.
Your cheeky smile when you knew youd done wrong,
Making it hard to stay angry for long.
The little pout when you didnt get your way,
And the sunny smile that brightened our day.

Watching you grow older as you made your way through school,
Finally deciding that boys were kind of cool.
We had different boys calling us every night,
While you tried to decide which was Mr Right.
Then you fell in love for the very first time,
When it came to men, youd made up your mind.

Parties and dates were a big part of your life,
Having fun but never getting into strife.
You were as happy and loving as youd always been,
Our home life was complete and so serene.
The perfect daughter to your father and me,
And I thought that was the way it would always be.

Then you went out one night and never came home,
You died in a car accident in the heavy snow.
Our angel was gone, the light went out,
And suddenly I wondered what life was all about.
The person I loved most in this world,
Was taken away, my little girl

I know you were loaned to us for just a short while,
You taught us to love and taught us to smile.
And now although you have been taken away,
I know well see you again some day.
From my mind and heart you will never be far,
My beautiful daughter, my October Star.
