What is Love?
What is love,
A touch or a kiss?
Do you have to meet a person,
To experience such bliss?
Does there have to be sex?
Many would say so.
Can there be love without,
Someone to hold?
Can it not be found,
Sharing only hearts and minds?
Leaving all of the physical stuff behind?
Maybe, the problem lies in narrow minds,
No self esteem, low self~worth.
Needing physical contact,
To give them girth.
Or is love a feeling of completion,
Knowing you are whole?
Sharing your life,
With a similar soul.
Great conversation,
Sharing dreams.
Could it be at all possible,
To find love by other means?
Telephone talks,
On the computer till late.
Can there we love,
Without a first date?
To all of you sceptics,
I say listen close.
I have found love,
Unlike most.
My secrets I'll share,
Are you listening close?
Open your heart, your soul, your mind.
For now forget the physical stuff,
Leave it behind.
Instead of you, this I dare.
Share your dreams, your hopes and your fears.
Soon you will see, you will start to care.
As time passes, you'll come to know,
Your love for that person is beginning to grow.
Take my advice, or just let it all go.
I am just telling you its possible...
NOW YOU KNOW!
The poem "What is Love?" is written and owned by Knightowl and may not be used without his written permission.
NB: Knightowl wrote this for all those people out there that believe that you can't find love on the net..I happen to agree with him. Love is love, no matter where you find it. Thanks, Chris.
Music selected is Bryan Adams
