9-13-04:

Just a quick bit of news:  Kevin informs us that Tammy Wade-Orosz has been transferred out of state and consequently will not be suiting up in a Bats uniform this season (or any season, most likely).   Kevin also claims to "have another card up [his] socks."  While the rest of us wonder what it really means for Kevin to refer to Ms. Wade-Orosz as being a "card up my socks," updates on this new sock-card will follow as they are received.

Also, Karl's slightly used #68 jersey is a Large, not an XL.

9-10-04:

A couple of items...  first, in his disgust with being listed in that "former Bats" section of the website, Scott has done away with the arbitration process and decided to rejoin the team, so that's good news for the team.  He's included on the E-mail link in the roster page.  Make sure you use that to send messages to the team rather than "reply to all" so that everyone gets your messages.

Second, Karl has placed his old jersey on the auction block.  Let me know if you're interested and I'll put the two of you in touch.  The jersey is #68.

Lastly, Barb from JMS sent around a notification pertaining to an adult hockey skills camp taking place this month.  If you're interested, go to www.roblittlehockey.com for more information.

9-8-04:

INFO REQUEST.  In an attempt to get us organized for the upcoming season, I need each of you to send me an E-mail with information regarding your registration status.  Tell me 1) if you've sent in your registration fees, 2) if you've skated in evals only if you haven't played in the AHA before, and 3) if you haven't completed those tasks, when you plan to do so.  If you're playing for the Ice Bats this coming season, we need to make sure everyone signs up.  Also tell me the preffered size and number of your new jersey so I can keep a record of that and get it to Cunningham's as soon as the roster is finalized.

Also, Todd Kenyon resurfaced and is joining the team for next year, so that's good news.  No word on where he's been these past months, his agent tells me he's been training hard in the offseason and now weighs in at 240 lbs.  Welcome back!

Assuming everyone who has said they plan to join the Ice Bats actually registers, our active roster will be at 16.  We're up to 3 full lines, if we can ferret out four more players through the eval drafts or through recruiting, we'll have a full roster.  Let us know if you've got any leads.

9-1-04:

Sorry for the lack of updates, Bats.  I've had a lot going on during the past week.  To clear up a few confusions:  the practice on the 26th that Paul E-mailed us about was the ice time with the Spartans (check last week's archived news).  That wasn't an Ice Bat team practice, just some ice time they had made available to anyone who wanted to skate with them.

Second, our roster keeps increasing in size, which is good.  I'm going to update the roster page shortly, please contact me if there's anyone I'm forgetting or if I get someone's information wrong.

Lastly (for now), as per a request I received, I'm going to compile a "definitive" E-mail list and add a button to the website (probably on the "Roster" page) so that you can click on it and send an E-mail to the entire team... we've got about 3 different versions of lists and so some of the newer players are being left off the E-mails.
