Fox Valley Grass Completes 4th CD
During the winter months
the Fox Valley Grass band has been busy working on arrangements,
writing new songs and recording them on its newest CD "Americana".
This new CD stands to be the best of all CDs produced by the band to
date. It includes two new songs by Tom Schiltz (Old Covered
Bridge and Bridgeton Mill). To complete its journey into
nostalgia the band has done a fine job on covering such classics
as Blue Ridge Cabin Home, The L & N Don't Stop Here Anymore,
Ghost Riders In the Sky, Wreck of Old 97, The Old Home Place and many
othere.
A CD release party was held on April 15th at Books on First,
202 West First Street, Dixon, Illinois.
The band and new CD were well received at the party and a great time
was had by all.
CD sales on the "Songs of Americana" CD are going well especially at
the Bridgeton Mill in Bridgeton, Indiana. The group is currently
under negotiations for playing at the Bridgeton Mill during the
Covered Bridge Festival October 14 and 15. If things go
well that weekend the band might also play the festival the
following weekend.
