FTP Server Highlights:

-  Implements the publicly published File Transfer Protocol outlined in RFC 959
   and RFC 1123.

-  Supports the following types of files and access methods:

1) All types of flat files (Fixed, Variable, Spanned  and Undef) on Disk or Tape.  Also, ANSII (ASCII ) tapes
            are supported.

2) All VSAM types (KSDS, ESDS, RRDS and VRDS).

3) Libraries (string and Fixed records).

4) POWER (LST, PUN and RDR)..

-   The server is built with time-proven, solid mainframe concepts. Yes, it sports a
classical UNIX-like interface. But that is where  similarities end and differences
     begin :

For utmost security and convenience, the Administrator implements

File Views and User Profiles...

File Views...

This server maps the VSE filing system using a new and sophisticated concept:

File Views.  You expose VSE files (to FTP clients) by  creating  simple, english-like,
views. Each view represents a set of one or more files sharing a common access
method. Views can be specific enough to expose   a single file,  or  generic enough to
expose a large number of files. Or it can be  in-between  (i.e., expose  a selected number
of files).   Please note that you can create any number of views (even of the same type)
        to suite your needs.

User Profiles...

You create profiles for users to grant access to a "list of views". Essentially, this builds
a unique Home Directory for each user. Also, you can use the  profile to assign certain
        properites to views.

       Unique, per-user, home directories.
Microscopic Control over operations that can be performed.
Include/Exclude files for VTOC and VSAM Catalog views.

-   All line-mode and graphical clients (Windows, Unix,  or any other platform) can
     exchange files with this  server.

-   Enhances the performance of your TCP/IP partition. The server runs in its own
partition and does its own file/IO. This frees up the TCP/IP partition in order to do
    other important work for you.

-   The server maintains an extensive audit log. You can always see who did what, when,
    and so forth.

-   The server can help automate your batch cycle. It can automatically submit jobs at
the end of each GET and PUT, if you wish.

-   The server sports a front-end, interactive interface. The admin can always login to
the server (using a  VTAM terminal) and see  what the server is doing, and who
      is talking to it.

-    The server supports a large set of variables, such as Time, Date, Day of week,
Name of  month, which can be used to create unique files for every transfer.
