Welcome to my FYA File Transfer Facility, FYAFTF, home page! Hello, my name is Fayed Y. Abed. It pleases me to make this powerful, industrial-strength and versatile Communications application for the IBM Mainframe operating systems (MVS/ESA & up, VSE/ESA 2.0 & UP and VM/ESA 2.1 and up) available to you over the internet. The application, written in S/390 Assembly language, runs as a standalone VTAM and TCP/IP application. In other words, it simultaneously talks to, and uses, both VTAM and TCP/IP services. The application sports its own interactive interface. You simply use a VTAM terminal to login as you would any other VTAM application such as TSO or CICS. You can use the application to transfer files across the supported platforms. Also, you can use the application to do simple job scheduling. Jobs can be either submitted to local and/or remote systems. Finally, I've implemented, in the VSE version, two additional functions: VM2VSE print transfer and RFC 959/1123-compliant FTP server.
