Religion
We must not remain indifferent to anyone who has seemingly contrary beliefs or descriminate because of the differences in skin color, accents or looks. We need to resist our NEED to differentiate and separate. What transcends our mundane world of illusionary separation is unity. We are all brothers, and in a more profound sense, if you are willing to accept, we are all ONE. For we all have our origins in unity, and we will all end in unity.
Its sad that our society is so focused on our illusionary separation that once a baby grows and is introduced into the world, any remnants and memories of our intrinsic oneness with the air we breathe and the people we interact with, are inevitably shoved down into the deep shadows within our unconscious. Everywhere we go unity is shining before our eyes, but we refuse to see and accept it.
The mountains, the tree's, the flowers and every form within nature was created to collectively display elegant and breath taking scenes for the sole purpose of glorifying the beauty of God and thus awaken our long repressed inner truths of oneness...That if we would unite and act together in harmony; we would become like a rose spreading the powerful aroma of love in Gods cosmic garden, that if we were to set our foundation on the rock (unfragmented solidified wholeness)Earth would become a utopia; we would then be able to shine and bloom to our fullest potential for the amplification of the beauty of God, and his breath taking scene.
Every leaf which falls, and every bud that opens is a reminder of our profound and intimate connection with everything and everyone. The brilliant complexities and fractal designs found within plants and trees show us that we shouldn't hide and push away the very thing that makes the universe so wonderful, but oneness is something to be embraced and openly expressed so that everyone "who has ears could hear and everyone who has eyes can see."
A huge factor contributing to the reluctance of the majority of "religious" people to open up to other levels of truth that may not be taught by there Bibles or Koran etc., is FEAR. A year ago I had the most dreadful time of my life, and it was because of my tenacity and refusal to call off other religions "evil"...Changing ones belief system is indeed painful, but it's completely neccessary if you really desire to know the truth. I've realized that when one is engaged in the search for truth, it is sooo much easier if you were to detach yourself from Dogma, and temporarily induce a sort of amnesia to everything you have been taught. If you were to make this journey with your Dogmatic programming intact, the "evil" alarm would be going off repeatedly, making the transition from our Dogmatic limitations to absolute spiritual freedom extremely difficult. Does it make you feel better to know that Jesus opposed the Dogma of his day?
If you were to analyze the situation with eyes free of Dogma, everything becomes more clear than it ever was before(Even Jesus's words take on a new depth and dimension of meaning, inevitably becoming far more profound than the inaccurate interpretations of the church). That evil is not oneness, but seperation and our reluctance to submit to God and give up our "self" (also known as the "flesh").
The worst fear of any being who sets its foundation on Identity, is losing whatever it has which separates itself from the rest.
Even if this being forgets of its origin in unity, it will naturally fear anything which would bring it back to its orignal state; even if it doesn't consciously know why. We are such beings...once we realize this, the fact that the word "left" means "sinister" almost becomes comical. A long time ago, It was believed that left handedness was an indication of a rebelious and evil spirit. If any were found to be left handed, Parents would force them to train themselves to become right handed before they became adults. The left hand is associated with the right brain. Our right brain is our mechanism which enables us to embrace unity, timelessness and undisturbed "being".The book "drawing on the right side of the brain" makes a clear distinction between a picture which was drawn during a time of dominate right brain functioning, and a picture drawn during a time of dominate logic, and left brain functioning. Our left brain categorizes, analyzes, makes choices, speculates; it is what decides to draw a triangle on a stick instead of drawing what it actually "sees"( a detailed and unique tree)...All because of its inability to see an image as it is and draw it without any discrimination or bias, or worrying about the wasted time or energy.
The right brain has the unique ability to see something and allow it to remain undisturbed. Right brainers draw a scene, face or person with outstanding accuracy and realism. They are able to bipass discrimination, personal bias, and just let it "be" the way it is.This is what monks and followers of buddhism and hinduism are collectively trying to accomplish...The bypassing of logic and analyzation into the undifferentiated, undisturbed "being" and "seeing".
"Consciousness [left brain] proceeds in terms of analysis and differentiation, in terms of special attention to the most minute details. The unconscious [right brain], on the other hand, has an opposite way of thinking. Non-analytical, undifferentiated, it takes its symbols as they are, and does not break them down as consciousness does..."- Ira Progoff, Jung's Psychology and Its Social Meaning, Grove Press, New York, 1953, p. 75
When using the right brain, a person loses track of time, the "now" becomes most important...The forever extended now... and you become absorbed into just "being". The right brain allows us to merge into unity...Which is why we labeled the left hand (which is associated with the right brain) "sinister" or "evil"...We have a fear of losing our isolation and separateness and thus our identity or "self". The question "Do you want to know God?" really is "how much are you willing to give up?".
Unity is explicitly expressed even in the Bible...But because of Dogma, others blindly believe and preach this unity without even understanding it; rather than being poetry or a beautiful metaphore, the universe sets its foundation on literal oneness. We must free ourselves from dogma, and allow ourselves to explore and accepts other levels of truth...That goes for buddhists, hinduists, Christians etc.
"For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ."
"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles ..."
"For the body is not one member, but many."
"For from him and through him and to him are all things"
What separates all religions is our inability to understand the real Connection and interrelation of all things. Once you truly experience the totality of God, understand and worship in "spirit and in truth", the feeling of unity becomes an intuitive and undeniable presence within you, FINALLY radiating and shining to its fullest potential within your heart. One feels COMPELLED to express Love; because love is the expression of unity.
Why is God, an entity of absolute, all forgiving and all consuming love?
Why is it detrimental to ones health, mental and emotional stability to hate and fear?
Because fear and hate are Totally contrary to the NATURAL flow of Gods nature. And why is love Gods nature? Because God is ONE. Oneness is experienced as happiness, bliss and love. And we all YEARN for oneness, because even though we dont remember, we all came from the blissfull obode of unified wholeness. Within our mundane mentality, we persue oneness with a mate, a partner...What we are really doing is (our unconsciousness is just screaming for us to notice this by the phrases: "The ONE", "My ONE true love", "The ONE for me")practicing for our final literall merge with "the ONE", the ONE true reality which is above all, through all and in all. Which consumes, contains and transcends all opposites, which liberates and free's...It is our home.
"For fragmentation is now very widespread, not only throughout society, but also in each individual; and this is leading to a kind of general confusion of the mind, which creates an endless series of problems and interferes with our clarity of perception so seriously as to prevent us from being able to solve most of them...The notion that all these fragments are separately existent is evidently an illusion, and this illusion cannot do other than lead to endless conflict and confusion"-David Bohm, Quantum Physicist.
