this'll be the place to be for the writing that i am particularly proud of.  fair warning: there might be content that you or your mom won't approve of.  i'll place very obvious warnings in the descriptions of each.  so...don't say i didn't warn you.  enjoy.

warnings: contains homosexual themes, some sexually suggestive language, nothing over PG-13 limits
winner of the suny gay fiction award 2003

i wrote this for my screenwriting class, which is an awful class that gave me a good opportunity to branch into fiction instead of sticking to dialogue-driven plays.

warnings: none really.  PG-13 for language, i suppose.
2nd place in Raleigh Fine Arts Society's Literary Contest 2002

i highly enjoyed writing this.  won an award for it, ha!  i think my style is very j.d. salinger-like, and this sort of personlifies that kind of writing.  i like my main character a lot, and i enjoyed writing from a male, first-person perspective.  it really took me away from the third-person females that i'd been writing and introduced me to a whole different perspective of writing.

warnings: contains homosexual themes, very little sexually suggestive language, angst, angst, more angst
Finalist in Raleigh Fine Arts Society's Literary Contest 2001

'twas a youngin' when writing this.  my writing style is fairly immature, and i can use this story to prove that my writing has matured over the years (hopefully).  however, i still have a special place in my heart for this story.  i acknowledged that, maybe, i had a little talent in me.  it's a long one.  has biblical themes if you look closely enough.  i thought i was deep.  heh heh.  beware of the angst, it's in ridiculously high amounts.
