Bound To Succeed
Inner Peace
Notes Page
Joe and Jacob Salvo are two of my best friends in the Charleston, South Carolina household, and, at the time, I had been showing them a lot of the songs that I had been writing. They had some ideas of their own for lyrics and music and gave them to me so I could figure out a track for them. We had considered forming a band called "Homies In The Household" (which explains the word "homies" in the lyrics they gave me). Although we made some good songs together, the band was never started. Because the songs were good, I wanted to put those songs into this album so people would still be able to hear what we came up with.

"Bound To Succeed" was the first song to be made. Joe gave me the lyrics, and said that he was thinking that it should be a soft rock ballad. The song riffs on how God has called us to have an inheritance with the saints and how as God's disciples, we have been called to the rewards both now and in the future.

"Inner Peace" started out at a state fellowship meeting. At this fellowship, Joe came to me with a good, though incomplete,  lyric and a great melody that sounded so smooth and peaceful, but was still funky (just the way I like it!). The lyric he gave me became the chorus of the song and I came up with verses to support it.
