From the office of the Commissioner of the ITWA
On Saturday 21 October 2006, Canadian Thane Burnett challenged American Sean Hanson, the ITWA heavyweight champion at the time. Burnett won the best-of-three championship match, dubbed "The Dilly in Philly" due to its venue - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Controversy arose when Burnett revealed days later that he had not obtained the proper clearances to professionally "fight" in the USA. Because of this - and allegations of Burnett caffeine-doping the day of the match - Burnett was stripped of the title but is still credited with the win. Sean Hanson retained the title and was not credited with the loss.
