| Tuni is our always oh so elegant female Great Dane. She is about 140lbs and about 33inches at the shoulder. She was born in California. My parents picked her up early December 2000. She is a very pretty girl who loves cuddles on the couch. She had her ears cropped by her breeder as she was going to be a show dog. That didn't work out for her so her breeder looked for a home for Tuni where she could be someone's couch princess and that's us. Tuni doesn't hold her ears up. She chooses to hold them down perhaps because her inner puppy has natural ears. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Loki is a rescue dog which means that he didn't stay in his first home and instead of going to a shelter, he was taken in by an organizaton that fosters in this case Great Danes. He is our only male Great Dane. He is the Alpha dog in our house and the oldest Great Dane. He is such a momma's boy. He has a stuffed teddy bear that he carries with him and he has a few other stuffies... He can get up tight if you take them away from him. They are like a little child's security blanket. He also doesn't like us kids sitting beside "His" mom (my mother). He's a big suck who is a gentle giant. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is our deaf little girl. She is the cutest of them all.She came to us from California too. She was born deaf but this doesn't stop her from being a GREAT dog. She can't hear commands but she can see them. We use a mixture of logical hand sigals and American Sign Langauge to give her commands. She is a sweet tempered cuddle bug. She loves to cuddle in the morning on the couch. She thinks, like Tuni and Loki, that she is a lap dog. As of March 23, 2002 she weighed 154lbs and was about 34 inches at the shoulder at 14 months of age. She has a lot of growing to do still. Great Danes finish growing at about 3 years of age.. she's gonna be a BIG puppy!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||
