About The Pride
The SD Pride is one of the newest Starz teams in southern California. They are based out of the Chula Vista (South Bay), San Diego area. The Pride is sure to establish itself quickly as one of the top teams in the West. The Pride is a select team made up of the top players in the South Bay area. The HS Pride team features players from: Bonita Vista High School, Chula Vista High School, Eastlake High School, Hilltop High School, Montgomery High School, and Otay Ranch High School. The MS Pride team features players from Bonita Vista Middle School, Eastlake Middle School, Hilltop Middle School, and Rancho Del Rey Middle School.

Mission
The Pride was founded to provide excellent coaching and training for the top players in the South Bay area. Many of the coaches come with a wealth of college playing and/or coaching experience. Players will improve through excellent coaching as well as playing with and against the best players in the West. Ultimately, our goal is to provide collegiate playing opportunities for all of our players through rigorous training and high level competition.

Practices
All players are required to be at every practice. If there is an extenuating circumstance, you must contact your coach directly by phone. Please check the calendar link for accurate practice times and dates.

Games
The SD Pride plays in the Starz Lacrosse League and will compete for the coveted Starz Cup this winter. This is the premier lacrosse league on the west coast. This is NOT a recreational league where every player is guaranteed a certain amount of playing time. Playing time is strictly based on attendance at practices, the ability to perform on the field at a high level, and the ability to grasp fundamental lacrosse concepts.

The coaching staff reserves the right to make personnel decisions. If a player does not feel that they are getting enough playing time, the player can talk to their coach on an individual basis to learn what they need to work on to see more action on the field. If the player is not satisfied, they can go to www.southswellsports.com and play in the South Swell Lacrosse League where every player receives an equal amount of playing time regardless of ability. Tournaments

Middle School: The MS Pride will not participate in any tournaments this winter.

High School: This winter (08') the HS Pride team will compete in the Warrior Pre-Season Challenge on January 12th and 13th at Robb Field in Ocean Beach. There is an additional cost of $150 per player to compete in this tournament. There will be many college coaches in attendance.
