Events in 1999

We have some of our events posted; there is an effort to get other events up. Stay tuned!

Blue Moon Ball - we couldn't let a Blue Moon in March go by without celebrating. A night of eating, drinking and dancing was held at the Clarion on Rt. 7 in Latham. Moons and stars decorated the room and the celestial effect was fun and mystical. Here are some pictures.

Beltane - this year we held our medieval-themed Beltane at Peebles Island in Cohoes, and we were a sight to see to the onlookers in the park! Maryann and Tim were crowned Queen and King this year, despite Maryann's best efforts. A wonderful feast followed.

Midsummer - we began our festival with a double handfasting! With Dee, Allan, Nanci and Tim officiating, we all looked on as Rick and Chris and Dave and Tami were bonded to each other. The rest of the day was filled with games, music and food (it would not be an HVPN event without that). See pictures here. Ritual was held at dusk and a fire circle and camp out followed. Thanks for Allan and Randy for hosting the event!

Witch's Ball - The Gods Must Be Crazy! With this theme in mind, the participants came to Cafe Cappriccio's in all their godly (and goddlessly) finery. We were visited by Zeus, Athena, Dionysius, the Green Man, Medusa, Pan, Bast, Atlas, Morgaine, 3 (!) Ladys of the Lake, Baba Yaga, the Lord of the Dance (tee hee), and the biggest suprise - The God of Bald Men! To see some of the craziness, click here.
