| The MOMS Club of Phoenix-Happy Valley, AZ is a nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization, specifically designed to meet the needs of moms who choose to stay at home with their children during the day, including those who work out of their homes and those who work part-time. The MOMS Club of Phoenix-Happy Valley wants everyone to be the best parent they can be. We believe that an important part of being a "stay-at-home-mom" is having the support of friends who can relate to our everyday situations. The 2008 - 2009 Board welcomes you to the MOMS Club of Phoenix-Happy Valley. Our goal for this year is to focus on the importance of frienship by remembering that this is a support group for moms, not simply a children's playgroup. We offer various activities to our members, including park days, weekly outings, mom's night out, playgroups, craft days, family outings, and meal support. We also perform at least one service project yearly to benefit a children's charity, chosen by our membership. We are proud to say that we have begun holding regular Kid Sale events where we sell our gently used children's clothing and toys to the general public. Each time we hold a sale, we raise more money for our chosen children's charity! Currently, we are hosting a sale in the spring and a sale in the fall. Our most recent Kid Sale benefited The Real Gift Foundation, www.therealgift.org. Boundaries: Our boundaries run from 49th Avenue to 67th Avenue, and from Happy Valley Road to Carefree Highway. Dues are used for operating expenses such as producing a monthly newsletter, paying dues to the International MOMS ClubR, membership pins, and supporting our service projects. |
