DAY ONE
DAY FOURTEEN
THE GOAL - FROM FAT TO FIT IN FOURTEEN DAYS
DAY ONE I woke up this morning with the sudden realisation that the time had actually come, I was actually ON the diet. I had spent the previous ten days talking about how I was going to DO it, and joyfully letting people know my ambitions.. whilst tucking into pizzas, kebabs, and other things I dare not mention right now for fear of chewing my own arm off if I think about them.. Bit as I said, this morning I realised it was crunch time.. well, as crunchy as scrambled eggs can be. I have to say I am a fan of the egg, I enjoy its taste, I really do. But I have always had them with little extras, maybe some ketchup, or some toast, but never on their own. Why would I? That would be stupid.. So I tucked into my breakfast.. 3 scrambled eggs (no milk of course) and proceeded to eat. 5 seconds later, I had finished my breakfast. A few hours later, I was ready for lunch. As others sat around me tucking in to their delicious selection of foodstuffs for their lunch, I carefully prepared the main ingredients of my own personal banquette.. 3 eggs. Again, I had them scrambled.. I wasnt jealous of the others, I felt sorry for them.. I was the lucky one with my eggs.. not them with their variety of delicious continental meats and cheeses and a soup that smelt so good I nearly started crying.. I was the lucky one.. that's what I kept telling myself. I'd like to say that I spent the rest of the day getting excited at what I was going to have for my tea, or dinner as posh people call it, (or supper if you're really posh!) But I didnt. All I could think about was eggs. Everything around me reminded me of eggs.. a childrens programme on the TV behind me had a storyline about the main character trying to find eggs.. it was like eggs were trying to drive me crazy. I boiled the last 3 eggs of the day this time, and I have to say they tasted amazing.. maybe only coz I had a little vinegar with them.. but even so they were pleasently nice. I felt good that I had completed day one, and treated myself to a nice glass of water.. ready for the next day.
