WEEK ONE
During the first week of the program students hear from professionals about all the different jobs available on a film/video shoot. They find out what's expected of them on a job site, they begin putting together a schedule, select their positions, and begin learning the ins and outs of those positions. They get into groups and have three hours to come up with a short film idea, shoot it and edit it. These are the mini-movies that will be featured on the final DVD. They also read-through the script for the first time, scout locations, schedule auditions and begin putting together a story board.

We finally started filming. It seems every year, the first day of shooting is always very hot and humid. We started in the library (but our publicity person forgot the still camera). We stayed on schedule and loaded everyone in cars and went to Lizzy's house and a park for the other shots. In these pictures everyone is setting up in the backyard - check out more pictures from the first day of the shoot on the next page . . . click on the link below.
