All content Copyright, 2003, Mike Huovila. November 4, 2003I finally started writing my nanowrimo novel. I know that I am 3 days late, but better late than never. I wrote 2002 words today, which is a good start since I didn't even know what I was going to write about when I turned on the computer. I had decided by that time to scrap my original story idea and do something a little more fantastic. I am going with a sci-fi fantasy type of theme. It is about a man and his search for meaning in a sci-fi setting. I don't particularly want to spend that much time exploring the philosophical questions hinted at by this story. But I do want to have a little more substance and meaning that an all out bar brawl story... not that there is anything wrong with that. I actually plan on having a bar brawl within my story. I just figure that if I'm going to write 50,000+ words, then I better pick something where I can explore a little.
