Salazar knew the Colonel. Hell, Salazar and the Colonel were practically friends. They covered each others� backs on more than one mission. And they both held a certain rare ethical code of conduct. Sometimes that code had to be bent or warped in order to avoid being on the receiving end of a 7.62 millimeter round. But it made Salazar feel more human. Whatever that meant.
