I have been asked "Why do you like Yugi so much?" What can I say? I can't really see how you cannot! He's the only person who is truly pure of heart on the show. His loyalty knows no bounds, and he is always there for a friend when they need him. I think he deserved a higher honor then simply being the vessel of the Pharaoh, and being Yami's brother seemed to fit perfectly! His honest, child-like personality when he's in a normal situation, and then his courageous attitude when he's battling makes him the perfect protagonist for any show. (He's also very smart; a plus from Goku!)
When I first saw him, I thought he was nine or something! He's so short! Then I looked up his height, and found out he's almost the same height as me [5'1"]. Boy, do I feel silly! But his personality charmed me to no end!

   Yami is, well, a darker side of Yugi! He's super cool, sexy, but no where near as lovable if you ask me. He's proud, willing to kill, and very serious all the time.
    So, considering my fav character in all of anime is Vegeta, why don't I like Yami more than Yugi? Uh... He's just not as complex as Vegeta!
    He's very hard to describe. With his memories wiped clean, there is an easy chance for much angst and blind loyalty towards his hikari, friends, and true love. He may not be my fav character, but he's fun to write! He may be arrogant, but his sense of morality makes him very interesting, and his fighting spirit is so amazing!

When trying to come up with Yami's love interest, I first drew her out. Physically, she has her roots in Yami and general punk characters I've seen in anime [with a hint of Keiko]. For persona, again a lot of Yami, but with one major difference: Her self esteem is next to nothing while Yami's is high. Her coat pockets that got directly into hammer-space are my favorite characteristic I added out fo sheer randomness! Talk about a score!
She develops to be much stronger than I ever imagined by the end of the sequal, though. And it only seemed natural for her to get along so well with Keiko, since I consider her creator to be my "Nee-chan." I really hope people can sympathize with her and cheer her on.
