The Founding Convention

What:: attended the founding convention of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers.
Where: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
When: the last week in January.
Why: in 1890 when forming the Bridge and Construction Men�s Union, George Geary said, �We sailed out onto the waters of trade unionism, determined to protect the rights of each member of the craft, do justice to the employers and control the industry.� These goals were true in 1896 and they are still true today.
