win Nitro wrestling title
The Herald-Dispatch NITRO -- Huntington High picked up three individual titles on the way to winning the 32nd annual Moose 565 Nitro High Invitational on Saturday night. Champions for the Highlanders were Steve Riner at 112 pounds, Robbie Williams at 130 and Jason Mays at 160. Huntington finished with 210 points to 175 for the runner-up and host Wildcats. This is Huntington�s second straight win here. Placers for Huntington were Baxter Fullen, second at 119; Jeremy Ray, second at 125; Chad Nelson, second at 135; Jeremy Patick, third at 145; James Nelson, third at 189; and Kenny Hutchinson, fourth at 215. East Fairmont was third with 167.5 points and Cabell Midland fourth with 133.5 points. For the Knights, Ryan Frazier won 189 for the only individual title. Spring Valley�s Jason Hutchinson prevailed at 135. Huntington is back in action Thursday, visiting Cabell Midland at 7 p.m. Saturday, the Highlanders return to Cabell Midland to meet Herbert Hoover and John Marshall. The Knights face the same two teams, too. Action starts at noon. |
