Here You Will Find Information On The History Of Huntington High Wrestling State Champions, State Place Winners, All Americans, And Also There Is Going To Be A Section For State Champions,State Place Winners, Etc From Huntington East. The New Huntington High School opened its doors for the first time in 1996 as a consolidation of Huntington and Huntington East High Schools. The school is once again coached by Coach Bill Archer (NAHCA Wrestling Coach of the year, 1998) who has coached 25 state champions and countless number of state place winners. Under his coaching his teams have won 22 out of 31 of its Regional tournaments including 12 in the past 14 years. Robbie Archer, '93 HHS graduate and 3-time state placewinner, joined the HHS wrestling staff in 1999-00 as an assistant coach to his father. Archer graduated from Ohio State University this past June with a bachelor's degree in education. While at Ohio State, Archer was a 4-year letterwinner for the wrestling Buckeyes. With the help of Robbie,and John Dempsey,Randy Edrington,Brian Russell,Robert Chaney, Head Coach Bill Archer should have plenty of experience in his corner. Huntington High is fed by local Middle Schools Cammack, Beverly Hills, Enslow, and West.
