Early Day by Day Entries
If you return to the Main Page, we hope that you will sign our guestbook.  We hope to share the encouragement and kind words with Maria someday.

It is 40 degrees out and I am not sure it is much warmer in here.  Anyway, hope you had a wonderful day of worship!  We did!  It was wonderful to have a full Bible Fellowship class.  And today our new pastor shared his first sermon.  I was reminded by his sermon about how at Thanskgiving, we can be thankful for the many material blessings we enjoy or the special blessings in our family, but first and foremost, our thoughts of Thanksgiving should be on the God that saved us.  For some reason (at least for me), since I accepted Christ into my life so long ago, it is easy to almost take for granted the wonderful gift of grace and salvation I received.  Yet, I look at my life, imperfect as I am, and realize how very grateful I am that God still loves me and wants me for His child.

Maria had her SECOND Sunday of no crying at church today. She absolutely loves and trusts her teacher which helps us so much.

Speaking of Ms. Maria, she can be quite bossy. This morning while getting ready for church, Hunter kept coming down the hallway to tell us something silly.  He was nearly dressed but needed the last finishing touches.  Maria would point at him and shake her little finger and say, "Dressed, dressed".  She doesn't hesitate to share what is on her mind. :)

A quick prayer request:  As you approach the holidays, please say a prayer for the sweet little ones who have gone to be with Jesus this year. I cannot fathom how difficult it must be for their families to spend the holidays without their sweet sons and daughters. (Jacob, Christal, Jake, and baby Jacob to name a few)

I really need to be off the computer. I am in that organization mode and hate to stop too long or it just may pass! Have a wonderful week!

You know one of my pet peeves?  When my computer decides to restart itself and I lose my word document
changes!  How can a computer decide to restart itself???

It was a "pajama" day at our house.  I had to take care of some Christmas shopping, but the kids and dad
stayed in pajamas ALL day.  I think they had a good time.  Apparently at some point they got the popup
tent out. I guess Maria thought that was quite fun. It sounds like she played a lot WITH the other two
today rather than by herself.

Oh, write this day down...Maria slipped up and said "Lauren" today.  I guess it just slipped out.  Mark
said it was as plain as day too.  Of course she won't say it again, but at least we know she is capable!

I think we are moving to the question phase of language.  Newest additions are "What's that?" and
"What happened?"  She is also saying "Thank you" AND "You're welcome" (yes, together) ANY time you give her something.  And she loves to say "Excuse me" as well as "Bless You".  We are pretty sure tonight she was
telling us she was hungry though the word was a little distorted.  Oh, and I did get "I love you" before bed.
Of course, I said it first.  Story of my life. :)

If you need a prayer request, start praying for Thanksgiving. I have a feeling the change in routine and being surrounded by a lot of relatives may be a little stressful for Maria, though I am hoping in time she will feel comfortable with EVERYONE...

Have a good Sunday!  We will be having our first service with our NEW pastor!
Ready for church

Well, Miss Maria is official...she got her social security card TODAY. I am quite impressed. Mark just turned in the paperwork six days ago!  Now she has a number and everything.

In keeping with Thanksgiving, Maria was a turkey today.  We can usually tell by her mood in the morning.  It was obvious from the moment she got up. She had a bit of an attitude. Even my sweet mom who normally says, "Oh, she is great" admitted she was a turkey.  She was quite 2. I have to admit, she acts less and less 2 all the time. Temper tantrums are few and far between.  So it is easy to forget that she is a two year old.  She reminded us today. :)  Hopefully tomorrow will be a new day...

I hope to be able to post the next few days, but I can make no promises.  We will be quite busy with family events, eating, etc.  So if I don't post, don't assume the worst. I will as soon as I am able.  (With three kids, those moments are becoming harder and harder to find.  In case I don't say it, I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving!
