This is the Little River in the Smoky Mountains. It's great for tubing and fly fishing. Can you tell these were taken from a vehicle? lol
Here are some pictures from our trip in August to Ruth, NC for the Missionary Camp Meetings that Bro. Daisley held. We'd never been to them before but heard that everyone really enjoyed them. Brother Byskal preached this year, they were pretty good. I didn't take many pictures of the services, just ones of the singing on Friday night. I kind of felt like taking pictures during the preaching would be distracting.... So here are the best ones.
Driving through the mountains, I don't think we were in North Carolina yet. I took this through the windshield, I was pleasantly surprised I didn't get a glare off the flash.
We got behind a some flatlanders (their brakes must've been on fire) about 30 or 40 miles from Cherokee, they couldn't seem to go over 20mph so it took forever but we finally got to a passing zone, so the rest of the way was a breeze...
Finally in Cherokee! We didn't stop, it's more a tourist trap than anything. This sign is advertising the play about the Cherokee Removal back in the 1800s.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs, I just thought it was neat.
This is a pretty good view of the mountains just east of Cherokee. Oh, These are the Nantahalas, by the way.
