Now that you decided to join our field trip, our "EsKwela Bus" will take us around the world to show you what is happening to our batchmates worldwide. We hope that we can provide a virtual tour and make you experience the events as they unfold. Our "EsKwela Bus" will not just show you the latest buzz, it will also bring you to places that some of us call "HOME". We will try to reminisce the past and leap forward to try today's technology. The most exciting event that happened last month is the first general meeting and the creation of Manila Core Group who will "kick-start" our journey to the 2003 Grand Reunion. Enjoy the ride !!!

Unang Hirit

Fr. Eric Santos called for a preliminary meeting on the 27th day of May, Saturday, at 6:00 p.m., held at the Office of the Director, Manila Cathedral College, besides the Immaculate Conception Parish Church, locally known as the “cathedral”.

It was a success !!! They laid down the plans for the THS CLASS ‘78 SILVER JUBILEE HOMECOMING in the year 2003. They formed a Manila Core Group until such time when we could elect the Batch Officers.

Rey & Val is proud to present their new hometown. Toronto, is one of the most hospitable and the safest city in North America. Our World famous landmark, the CN Tower, is anually visited by millions of tourists. You can take a ride on our fast Subway System or a Street Car for a scenic tour of Metro Toronto. Toronto is also the home of the BLUE JAYS, MAPLE LEAFS, ARGOS and the RAPTORS.

Some things never change. Riz is a classic example.

Riz who was blessed with both good looks and brains graduated with the first honorable mention. Now, working as a city Engineer, he designs the plans for the busiest highways of Los Angeles...still the same smart, good-looking guy that we know from high school.

Fr. Erick's Mid-East Pilgrimage

Fr. Erick recently led a group of Pilgrims to the Holy Land and neighboring countries. From Jordan to Israel to Egypt to Dubai, he descriptively shared his experience using the email from different location as the pilgrimage unfolds.

We would like to share his wonderful experience in the Holy Land and you will surely want to be pilgrim yourself after reading his narrations. Thanks for sharing what you have seen, Fr. Erick.

Identity Crisis??? What Crisis???

The deafening silence on the response to the choice name for our website is a gauge that:

1. The batch is indifferent about the names.
2. They don't care, as long as they they get updates and news.
3. They don't know how to write an email.
4. They did not read it at all.
5. They don't like multiple choice questions. They prefer True or False. OR
6. There is no crisis at all. KaEskwela, atbp has everybody's approval.

Therefore we conclude to keep it that way. Forget that we asked... we will adopt KaEskwela, atbp as our official website name.

This project was pioneered by Reuel Cruz. With his suggestion, to make access easier, we have re-created our THS Batch '78 Communty Site. We called the new site, KaEswela.com after our non-official website. You can now go direct to the site and join even without the invitation. The address is: http://communities.msn.com/KaEskwelacom

This will compliment our website and get your active participation. You can post pictures, messages, start discussions, schedule a chat or cyber-conference. You will need to install a chat software and a software to upload pictures but MSN will assist you in doing that when you try those features. See you in the chat room!!

Revisited Toronto

Reuel Cruz visited Toronto for the second time this year and generously offered Val his help and expertise. He offered some tips and hints on using MS FrontPage and discussed the possibility of making our Community Site public.
The visit was a surprised one. We invited Rey Bisda over but the timing did allow them to meet but Reuel and Rey managed to have a lenghty conversation on the phone.

Cyber-Reunion

To test the chat room in KaEskwela.com, we will schedule a cyber-reunion on June 24, at 10:00 a.m. Philippine time. That would be June 23, at 7:00 p.m.. Pacific time for the British Columbia-California-Las Vegas residents and at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time in Toronto, Cleveland, NewYork/NewJersey.

Everyone who is interested is invited to join. We have'nt tested the site, capacity-wise, and we will find out how much it can handle.

To be able to join the chatroom, you might want to visit it before the forum and download the chat software. Try to enter the room and test if you can send messages in although your alone in the room....just to make sure that it will work for you on the cyber-reunion date.
