She was separated from him by her transgression, but Adam was still in his righteous state with God.

Let us review some attributes that God put in Adam. First, there was a thing in his spirit, life, mind, and in his heart and his very being which was a very real, pure, and holy love. She was loved. God made Adam love Eve. And that love, that was natural, pure and holy, was only the type of the same love, that Jesus would have for His church. I want to show you why you must love Jesus with everything you have! You absolutely must put Him first in every aspect of your life.

When Eve stepped down and failed in sin, there was a separation between her and Adam. Adam could no longer have fellowship with her and have fellowship with God. Adam was righteous and holy; Eve had transgressed and caused a separation. And remember, the whole human race was yet in the loins of Adam. Every man, woman, boy and girl was still in the loins of Adam, who possessed the life seed of the whole human race. Then, where and how would we be? There was no mother to bring us forth. The mother of all living had failed. She had stepped down. Adam had to make a decision: The decision was, will I stay with God and there will be no human race, or will I, willingly and because I love Eve, step down? You see, there was a way for her to come back. There was a way for Adam to have her back. There was a way for her to come back into fellowship with him. But it could only come through childbearing. And that childbearing would produce a virgin that would bring Him; but if there was no childbearing and no virgin named Mary, there would be no Him (Christ Jesus). There would be no need for Him.

God already knew what Adam was going to do. God already knew what he was going to do because he put that love in Adam. Because Adam was just a type of what He was going to be, and he was only the figure of the One that was getting ready to come.
