HOW DOES IT WORK?

a) The first step is deciding whether you wish 1. a traditional portrait, which includes a fabric backdrop, or 2: an "in-environment" session which includes part the setting at your location as part of the background

b) The photographer arrives, scouts the location for the best area for the shoot, and sets up the lighting equipment and any background material that is needed for the set. A high end professional digital camera is used for the image capture.

c) After some preliminary lighting testing, the session begins, which includes any where from approximately 40 to 80 shots. This will capture multiple expressions and moods of the individual(s).

d) The images are then loaded into a computer for immediate, full screen previewing of all of the images taken during the session. During this time, you will select the "keepers", and then have a further chance to narrow down your rough edit to the one or two final poses you wish to keep.

e) Retouching, if requested or desired, is then done on the selects using Adobe Photoshop, and the files are prepped for output to the printer.

f) You will choose the type of paper you would like to have your portrait printed on, and then immediately the print is produced.

g) The files from your selections are then burned onto cdrom for your future use.

- upgrade from standard print to deluxe or gallery: add 25%

- session time includes setup, sitting time, and preview time. Addidional preview time available at $25.00 per half hour

- standard cd-rom files are suitable for email or card prints. A hi-res cd-rom is also available of your session files.

- retouching to reduce wrinkles or blemishes at $25.00 per person. Additional time available at $50.00 per half hour.

- Session time is determined based on up to 4 people per sitting in the group.

- Additional people in the group are $50.00 per person. Generally, additional people in the shot require additional setup and shooting time because of the increase in on set variables (such as on person blinks....shot is no longer useable. More people/more chace of this type of occurence!)

- print your portrait in Black and white or Sepia at no additional charge

- package prices are based on 30 minutes driving radius of downtown Toronto. Additional distances are available at $25.00 per half hour
