A cute new couple has emerged in Hufflepuff! Ron Weasley and Darby Queally have found a liking for each other. The pair has been seen swimming together in the Great Lake, taking long moonlit walks across the campus, and frolicking across meadows. Many students claim to have seen the couple sneaking into the Room of Requirements with no adult chaperone. Ooooooooh. What could they be doing in there? Sharing their deepest darkest secrets? Planning their lives together? Plotting against the Ministry?! I decided it was time to find out. I snuck into the Room of Requirements before only minutes before they entered. I disguised myself as a Venus Fly Trap in a large pot. Let me tell you something: flies are NOT food�There�s a reason for that�YUCK. Back to the story; I heard every detail of their plan. They figured out how to raid the counters, so they decided to steal the precious gems. On August 5, 2008 they are going to snatch away Gryffindor�s rubies, Slytherin�s emeralds, Ravenclaw�s sapphire, and the stones that Paddington, Penshire, and Hufflepuff use to count their points. They�re going to sneak the suitcases of gems into Hogsmeade for them to smuggle out of the country later in the year; then they�ll move to Finland, change their names to Alfred and Erma Squash, get married in an abandoned porta potty cleaning center, and live the rest of their lives in riches. Nobody knows for sure, but you may want to keep an eye on the couple and make sure they don�t have any maps to Finland in their possession. We�re all hoping that the relationship lasts for a long time and they change their minds and decide to stay here at Hogwarts.

The whole Hufflepuff Common Room has been abuzz at the start of a possible loving relationship between Ronald Weasley and Darby Queally, one of the newer students who recently joined the house last month. In hopes to scratch the surface of this possible relationship, I decided to go to the source to find the answers. I decided to hold an exclusive interview with Darby to find out the details. Here�s what she had to say.
My questions to her:
1. How long have you known Ronald Weasley?
2. Have you ever thought of dating Ronald Weasley? If so, why?
3. What's your best memory with Ronald Weasley?
4. What's your funniest story about Ronald Weasley?
5. Any thoughts or concerns?
Her response:
1. I have known him since I started here at Hogwarts. So I guess about a month, maybe two.
2. Of course I have thought about it. He and I hit it off right away! There are a lot of reasons why. I mean he's funny and charming when he wants to be. He seems to like me for who I am, which is a major plus!
3. Hmm....good question. I think right now it's the End of Term Banquet when we danced.
4. Well, I have a few; but, when he stole the banana from Bobo. That was pretty funny!
5. I have plenty of thoughts but no concerns!

Everyone knew that Ron and Darby had a thing with each other right? Well, it turns out that they are now officially dating. I�m sure everyone knew they were both destined for each other to begin with. They make such a cute couple. It seems that this is a real loving relationship and not just a fake relationship which is a major plus side. The date that Ron had started for the two of them went exceptionally well and ended up becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. This is what Darby had to say about their relationship.
1. Is it true you are dating Ron? YES! It is true. We are dating!
2. How is the date going as of this point? I think it is going amazing! We have had great food, great music, great dancing. So I don't think anything could go wrong at this point!
3. What has been your favorite part of the date so far? Hmm...great question....Well, I would say the dancing was nice. The desserts have been amazing! But the best part would probably be the person I'm on the date with!
4. Do you think you and Ron were really meant for each other A.K.A fate? Fate...well. I believe we have a connection. Maybe it's fate. We will have to wait and see!
5. Are you planning on marrying Ron in the future? As for marriage. Well I am only a first year right now. I will start thinking more about that question when I get at least a little older!

After a short leave of absence from Hogwarts due to various reasons, the loveable Maya Parker is once again back in Hufflepuff and of course isn�t wasting any time giving Won-Won a hard time. As a welcome back, I decided to interview her on a more specific reason as to why she had left for so long. Here�s what she had to say.
1. Name: Maya Parker
2. Years attending Hogwarts: I'm a 4th year student
3. Cause of last absence: Usually when I go absent from Hogwarts it�s due to things going on in my muggle life. This last absence is also the case. Muggles seem to have a lot of things happen that demand attention, and well, sometimes you just have to put all your attention into it.
4. Are you back for good: I certainly hope so! I'm certainly going to try and stay for good now. I miss Hogwarts when I'm not here. It's a second home to me.
5. Reason you came back after inactivity: Well, like I said on the last question, Hogwarts is my second home, and I miss it when I'm not here. The people are so caring and look out for each other. You can't find that in many places! So of course, I couldn't stay away!

Everyone knows that for thousands of years, ever since the invention of beds and wardrobes that we instinctively check under our bed and in our wardrobes. I wanted to get to the bottom of this, so I ran over to the Hogwarts Library to check out old news stories of incidents relating to the unknown which lurks in our rooms. One story tells of a wizard who found a whole in his wardrobe which leads him to another world, where there were dancing pigs. I think this man was mistaken and it was really flying pigs. But I wanted to get to the heart of this issue, so I went to this man�s house to find out more. Inside the house it was cold and damp. Everywhere had either a protection spell or red tape. I asked if the old man could show me the wardrobe in question. He led me up a narrow flight of stairs, it felt like a lifetime I had been walking up them. I finally got the top. At the top of the stairs was a steel door. He tapped on the door 5 times and whispered a password that only the door could hear. The door swung open. Inside there was more protection spells which had to be taken away before I could gain closer access to the wardrobe. Finally I could touch the handle to the wardrobe. I asked the man if he had ever let anyone else see the wardrobe. He shook his head, I had the exclusive. I took a deep breath and closely opened the wardrobe door. To my utter shock I stood face to face with what the man had said he envisioned, except�it was my grandmother in a Bikini. My worse fear had come true, twice. Not only had I been stood face to face with my Grandmother in a Bikini but my story was a fake, the old man had obviously never heard of a Bogart. Disappointed I left the man, as I was leaving the room I heard the old man scream again, I turned to see a dancing pig, shaking my head I turned and left down the stairs. It wasn�t until a few days later that I discovered the old man had once owned a farm and had a serious pigging accident. This reporter just had no luck finding the good stories. Maybe next time�

I surveyed the whole Hufflepuff house on their favorite creatures from the magical world. They ranged from the least dangerous to the pretty mean ones. It was a close call and we have a few ties.
I gave the Badgers a choice between:

The Hufflepuff Common Room has been filled with Juicy gossip this month! And who better to tell you than the girl who knows all the details about it. First the BIGGEST gossip of the month is about Ron Weasley and Darby Queally. It been rumored for weeks on end that Ron had a crush on Darby but no one was quite sure if that was true, but we are really sure now! Last week, Ron finally got the courage to ask her out and they are officialy a couple. And a very cute one if I do say so myself! They had a romantic lakeside dinner date which included delicious food, a boat ride across the lake, expensive presents, and a wonderful desplay of fireworks by Ron that asked Darby to be his girlfriend. How sweet of him is that? Also for gossip, this is completely unvarified yet so no promises here, but apart from Ron and Darby there is possible evidence that Hufflepuffs Morgana Willow and John Chang might be dating as well! When the truth is revealed count on me to let you know about it! And I think that's about it for this months issue but trust me there'll be more next time so keep your eyes peeled for our next article of Hufflepuff Gossip!
