First to score for Hereford was Ronny Radford who stepped up and fired in a 30 yard screamer which left the Newcastle players searching for an equalizer but they couldnt find it!
Then Ricky George sealed the victory for the Bulls with a close shot.
Hereford have had a few living Bull mascots, who are Lowerhope Napoleon who was put down in 1999 after breaking his leg while making love, Rembrandt who is our current mascot and also Freetown Kudos who is the father of Rembrandt.
In the 1999/2000 season a few fans remembered this tradition and asked Graham Turner for permision to try out the tradition again. Graham agreed and so the fans re-started the tradition.
It consists of a swede painted Black and White (The Hereford colours) and a group of fans would worship the swede before playing football with it, If they scored when the shot the swede into the net Hereford would win the game but if they missed United would loose.
