Season Two Summary
We started to get the hang of this game in Season Two although it was still easy to make mistakes with overracing horses and not training them properly.  This was a good season for us as we managed to win our first Group 1 races and saw the emergence of some exciting new horses.
Career histories of SOF horses that first appeared in Season Two.  The names are all pubs in Redditch, Worcestershire except for the Duke of Marlborough which was in Studley, Warwickshire before it was demolished in 2004. (The pub was demolished not Studley although that wouldn't be a bad idea)
Colts
Sticky Wicket G1(4), RR 134

A stable legend.  3rd and 7th in his first two runs did not give us an idea of what was to come. He then won a maiden and finished second in a Group 3 race so we thought he was improving.  In season 3 we decided to train him solid and then go straight to the Epsom Derby which he won and he then went on to complete the Derby double in Ireland.  Another Group 1 followed with thw Win2win Classic and then we stepped him up in distance when he ran an excellent 2nd in the Melboune cup before taking the Group 1 Prix Royal Oak.  Has failed to do as well as an older horse but is always a threat and did win in week 10 of season 5 when taking a Group 2 event.
Wild Goose  G1(2), G3, RR 130

We knew we had a great horse from the start with Wild Goose. Won his maiden straight off and then took the Group 3 Superlative Stakes in his next race.  He stepped up to contest a couple of Group 1 2yo races and finished third in both.  As a 3yo he took part in the English and Irish 2000 Guineas finishing 6th and 3rd before finally winning a couple of Group 1 races in the St James Palace Stakes and the Prix Jacques Le Marois.  As an older horse he has not quite managed to find the same success but he can still run a consistent race and ran a RR 130 when finishing 3rd in a Group 1 race
Duke Of Marlborough  G3, RR 106

Nice horse who won the Group 3 July Stakes and a handicap for SOF before moving to a new stable.
Black Horse  G1(2), G3, RR 132

A special horse for us in that he was our first Classic winner when he won the season 3 2000 Guineas which he then followed up with another Group 1 success in the Prix Moulin.  Another who has not lived up to the early promise but is still capable of running a big RR on his day and if the ground is soft or heavy.  Like the owner of the SOF stable he has gone a bit grey with age!
Duck Pond  G2,, RR128

As a 2yo he finished 2nd in a maiden and then won a listed event.  We keep trying him at a higher level but really have been wasting our time.  He can run a good RR but even when he runs a RR in the 120's he is down the field as his preferred distance and going is also that of some of the best sim horses. Finally  won a Group 2 (The Winter Derby) towards the end of his career.
