Cholesterol

What is it? Cholesterol and triglyceride are fatty substances found in the blood. There are 3 major kinds of cholesterol:
• LDL (low density lipoprotein) this is a "bad" cholesterol
• HDL (high density lipoprotein) this is a "good" cholesterol
• TG (triglyceride) this is a "bad" fat
When the cholesterol from LDL is deposited into the walls of blood vessels, this leads to a condition called atherosclerosis and a narrowing of blood vessels. Atherosclerosis can lead to heart attacks and strokes.
