Once there, she couldn't quite get past her shyness. She spent most of her time studying or playing with the dolphins and strengthening her swimming skills. She spent close to five Turns as an apprentice and it was another seven before she was promoted from Sr. Apprentice to Journeyman.
Life was good, she could now travel and work even more closely with the dolphins. Her first dolphin partner was named Ihiske. Mailli and Ihiske spent many long Turns working and playing together. She spent five turns as Journeyman before promotion to Sr. Journeyman, where she stayed and expected to stay for the rest of her active time as a dolphineer. To her surprise at thirty-three she was promoted to Master and now sits as Dolphineer CraftMaster at just shy of forty.
Mailli married, had two children, Mitraint who is himself a dolphincraft apprentice and is eleven, and Remailla who is now deceased and is survived by her daughter Tekailla, her mother Mailli, and her younger brother Mitraint
Mailli herself was to meet her fate in the teeth of a storm. Found more than a month after the storm that devastated Keroon, Mailli is survived by her son, Mitraint, and her grand-daughter, Tekailla.
Mailli's tenth turnday happened to coincide with her much loved older brother's and she talked Dira into going on a picnic. Everything went wrong that day; starting with the rain that was soon followed by an earthquake. The quake spooked the runners and Mailli was tossed.
Pinned under a very large rock that was nearly the size of a small boulder, Mailli would likely have died had not Shadis freed her. In the process, he was in turn pinned. However, he was not as fortunate as Mailli, it was not his leg that had been pinned and broken... It was his head that had been crushed. Mailli's mother, a healer reject deliberately set her leg wrong and her father proceeded to blame her for his son's death. Soon as she could Mailli ran away and joined a craft.
She has met many wonderful people that have worked hard to help her overcome her shyness and her tragick past. Not the least of whom is her best friend, Shadis. She did meet her now ex-husband Geraint as well, with whom she has had two children. Remailla (now deceased), and Mitraint. Remailla ran away from Mailli to join the herders where she was killed. However, Remailla was not killed before she met and fell in love with Tarik; with whom she had a baby girl named Tekailla.
