| The Caribbean island of Grenada was hit hard by Hurricane Ivan on September 7th. In the span of a few hours, Grenada lost 90% of its buildings, more than 20 lives, and its two biggest |
| revenue sources: crops and tourism. Tens of thousands were left without electricity, clean water, shelter, or food. Humboldt State University has strong ties to this tiny island; sending many students in the past for study abroad and using Grenada as a research base. With the national media no longer covering the dire situation found in Grenada, it is our responsibility to get the word out and to help any way we can. Please help us help Grenada! |
